Restoration of the stained glass windows in St. Catherine's Church Naundorf

Writer: Die KunstglaserinDie Kunstglaserin

The stained glass windows in St. Catherine's Church in Naundorf, which were made by the Wilhelm Franke company in 1890, have been restored to their former glory thanks to extensive restoration work. As part of the work, the valuable stained glass windows, some of which were damaged, were secured and conserved in order to preserve their artistic and cultural value for future generations. The lead netting was also carefully secured and restored. The load-bearing structures that support the windows were carefully refurbished to ensure long-term stability and safety. In addition, modern isothermal glazing protects the stained glass from external weathering without impairing the historical character of the windows.
